 Today we concentrated our attention on different sectors of the excavation.

In Area 2, during the morning, the mechanical excavator finished to remove the collapse US 4, under whom we pointed out a yellow layer of  levelling earth and, in the South-East corner, a wall forming a niche with the base of the close tower. In the afternoon we started cleaning the upper part of the big retaining wall emerged on Friday.

In Area 1, in sector 1, we spotlighted a frequentation layer, really compact and mixed with many charcoals.

In sector 3 we almost finished to spotlight a collapse made up of medium and big size stones.

From tomorrow we’ll concentrate our efforts in Area 2, stopping for the moment the excavation in Area 1, in order to clean up all the evidences emerged.
