Room 5, already partially digged. Right bottom, the hypotetical extension

While the cleaning of Sector 1 (pics 1-4) was going to be concluded (tomorrow our aim is to finish this operation also in Sector 2-pics 5-6) we kept on digging in room 5 (Period V-Phase 2, XII century), a structure placed in the north-west part of the site (pics 7-8), close to the defensive walls. We are digging a layer of compact earth, that can be interpreted as a leveling action linked to the construction of room 2, rectangular structure related to the bread oven (Period III, XIV century).
The excavation is so far the expression of a site characterized by a long series of reconstructions, where the different building phases overlayed on each other.
