While in sector 2 the investigation has been suspended for the moment because of the rain that had been falling last night, in sector 1 we kept on digging in room 1, 5 and 6.
In room 1 we are removing the layers underneath the XII century forge, related to the expansion works of the site (pics 1-2-3).
In room 5 we are keeping on highlighting the extension of the structure leaning the defensive walls by digging the collapse levels (pics 4-5).
In room 6 (a space used as an open area in the later inhabitation), we are digging the last portion of a clay layer, that can be interpreted as a part of the etruscan house (III-II century B.C.) highly damaged by the later building activities of the tower, the defensive walls and the cistern.
