Walls US 6, 18 7 and 17

At the beginning of the second week of archaeological investigation at Castiglioncello del Trinoro, we continued in Square 1, the delimitation of the various walls and rooms already partially identified during the first week.

For the small tower, we  identify the outside walls US 12, 13 and 14. It remains to be identified the most part the  north-west wall (US 19).

Inside the building are present for now foundations (US 16) of the small contemporary building now removed, a sandy layer (US 11), maybe the disintegration of the masonry of the tower and a layer of stones (US 15) near, surely the destruction of the building.

In the north-west part of Square 1, we have continued to delimitate wall US. 6. We have also identified the wall US 18 related with walls  US 6, 7 and 17, seems related to a small room located near the walls US 9.

After last week found the walls US 3 and 5. in the south-east part of Square 1, the today survey has revealed the presence of the other two walls US 8 and 10 (for now only partially emerged).

All four walls of this building are characterized in their tracks from the inner part of reddish plaster. We probably find a tank.
